@ItsSkyDragonz @fluffy Find a easy to use game engine, there is some choices you can take. Either learn first a scripting language on its own such as Lua and if there are games that uses Lua for modding/scripting use that and toy around with it. The point of doing that is to familiarize yourself how logical structure of a program works. Do the total pleb way and use a visual programming toolkit such as Scratch, Engima or GDevelop which should have the lowest barrier entry at the cost of versatility. If you have never scripted in your whole life before then its probably the best if you learn some basic scripting concept that can be run without any game engines at first, maybe toy around with it for a 1-2 weeks longer or less it depends how fast you understand the concept.Once you have learned the basics then you may be ready to use a heavier game engine such as Unity, Godot, Gamemaker or other commonly used 2D/3D engines. You should first start out making 2D games as there will be less concepts you need to learn at first and you can get away with more hacky codes.

@fluffy >Posting deus ex meme means I'm pissyWhat are you retarded? For the first point I was just asking where you got the 90% number from which you yet failed to provide.Second if you know so much better about game development then why didn't you give to the other guy directions so he can learn modding and/or game development? You can look at my shit if you don't believe which I did for GZDoom/Zandronum:https://gitgud.io/moon-men/moonman-doomhttps://gitgud.io/MicroTank/MicroTankI don't have anything uploaded yet from my Godot projects because they all are too far early in development but I can already tell you I'm using GDScript to do the logic.
