In this time period whatever was true was simply that which was given by an authority figure; the priests, the kings, etc. This lasted until approximately the invention of the printing press.The second revolution was the scientific revolution. In this age the scientific method became the source of all truth and now everyone who belongs to this age thinks in its terms though there's still of course the more primitive humanity from the first revolution still around they stopped dominating. It is characterized by an obsession with producing and acquiring material comforts and man's metal energies being bent entirely towards this end.The third revolution is the conscious revolution. What you are going to see is the mode of thinking that dominated the two previous revolutions continue to lose credibility and become marginalized. In this process the material sciences, the governmental authorities, etc. will all be denigrated, destroyed, etc. and a new paradigm of thinking will come while a LOT of people will die because they don't fit into the new paradigm that is coming.
