@sim It's both a shrug and a frustratingly inexact category.Who's ultimate far right? Probably Plato, and Nietzsche.Are they "right" as we know it? Not really; they are simply realists in a species where most people are chasing popular/profitable illusion.What makes them "right"? Realism.What am I? An ends-over-means realist, which makes me farther right than most of the "far-Right" and the RINOs.But without this train of thought, the label "far-right" just obscures meaning.

@amerika That's a good response. I can imagine it is quite frustrating to have language thrust upon you that isn't precise and ultimately ends up mischaracterising. We know it is meant in a bad way too, like you are so bad that people should avoid you type of thing. Yet when I come across people labelled like this, they tend to be more reasonable and even polite to me. It's such a bizarre world.

@sim @amerika I can tell you that I don't like it. I don't see myself as right wing, certainly not in any traditional sense.1. I'm an anarchist, I view most right wingers mostly as just more authoritarians. 2. Too many of them are hostile towards me because I'm a tranner.3. Many of them are just as ideologically indoctrinated as the left is.

@sim because language is being degraded by excessively woke communities. What is "far right" today was middle of the road in 1990's and 2000's. My middle of the road opinions get labelled sometimes and then they realise who they are really talking with, and it's enlightening for them to see how bigoted ad extreme the liberal community have become

@Tcjc Yeah, it's almost like they keep moving the goalposts when it comes to these labels to the point that they become meaningless. Have you been able to help some people realise how bigoted the community has become? I find it hard to believe that they don't just double down. The ones who really believe this way about politics, I mean.

@sim 90% of the UK is pretty easy going and liberal in the traditional meaning. Live and let live. But 10% are neo-liberals i.e. woke fascists intolerant of alternative opinions determined to impose a single minority view on the majority. Problem is that 10% occupy 90% of media and education. Free speech is under threat.

@Tcjc And unfortunately they are the ones in control of the narrative because they have those institutions. From my understanding, they also form their own intellectual circles which makes it easier for them to promote each other and to gatekeep anyone that doesn't fit into their ideals.
