@nerdman yes. I believe they JUST recently added flacs. Still doesn't support flacsApple has their ecosystem locked, can't sideload and all extra browsers are all based on Safari I believe, meaning they don't support these either

@TechUr @sapphire @coolboymew No, you have access to the locked down storage. Can you create local folders? Can you enter app directories?I had an iPhone XR from 2018 - 2019. No FS access.

@MischievousTomato @sapphire @coolboymew Incorrect. I've used Android from 2016 until today, and there is no locking down, only increasing security from background apps which don't have permission to access files without being in the foreground. This is called Scoped Storage, and it does not allow APPS to access irrelevant FS folders, not you.

@MischievousTomato @sapphire @coolboymew I don't know what you're using, but I can save files anywhere. If you want to access the root partition, you can root your phone, which would destroy Android's security model, anyway. There is nothing stopping you from creating files on the so called "Internal memory card", which is just a second internal partition.

@MischievousTomato @sapphire @coolboymew I've been using Android 12 for around 1-2 weeks with GrapheneOS. I fail to see what misinformation you're trying to spread, here."I heard" isn't evidence. Please present it.

@MischievousTomato @sapphire @coolboymew To state a point I just made, Scoped Storage has been around since Android 10 and was made mandatory in A11. A12 just increases the security of it.The reason you can't choose the Android folder is purely sensical, because that's the entire reason Scoped Storage exists, to stop apps from accessing the folders of other apps. You can store whatever you want outside of the app folders. This prevents execution of malicious scripts and files when starting other apps which use their respective folders. There is nothing stopping you from rooting your phone if you want to destroy the AOSP security model. This is not a limitation of Android, this is a limitation of the app not allowing the files to be stored somewhere else, like any other sane app does (Hendroid comes to mind).
