Does anyone have any input on the USAA safe pilot program? I feel like it’s creepy AF.

@g33ksquared If your OK with your driving habits being tracked and analyzed/sold, go for it!

@g33ksquared State Farm has the same thing. I opted out. Watch some Rob Braxman if you "want to something really scary" concerning phone tracking.

@g33ksquared you could go with the plan and just buy a Faraday bag.

@g33ksquared I opted no to State Farm's. this is one of those things where if enough people voluntarily adopt, it becomes a quick step to require it of everyone. hell no.

@g33ksquared if any of them are “good” I’d say USAA would be the one. Frankly I wouldn’t though. But I’m biased, I drive a Miata and the data off that would double my rate.

@verita84 I have everything there and when I did that they were fair. I’m sure I’m paying a little more but I have an expectation that they will actually take care of me rather than my having to retain legal to get proper payout. Maybe I’m wrong, have yet to test that. Must say their customer service is good. Did look into their mortgage rates and they are crap there. @g33ksquared

@maxburn @g33ksquared Oh man, that's good to know about their mortgage rates. Their customer service is good when you are not transferred to India. I have never had an issue with an insurance company paying out yet. I would really love to have them for everything but their rates are laughable sometimes.

@g33ksquared These things always seem like a way to get people comfortable with being tracked, and a way to find out who is lying about how many miles they drive.
