@Prodigal @TradeMinister I have taught many people to shoot firearms. I am not a professional, but I am a hobbyist. The first rule is: you always assume a gun is loaded even if you know it's not. The second rule is: you never point a gun at anything that you don't want to shoot, even an "unloaded" gun.After that, it's just practice.

@TradeMinister I can agree with the hiring part, but it is my understanding since the Brandon Lee shooting incident that actors are supposed to point guns a few degrees away from the person they are supposed to be aiming at "just in case".Clearly Baldwin failed that test.This isn't a pure cause-and-effect situation.Baldwin's actions and mental capacity are independent of whether the gun was loaded or not, especially since it was well known on the set that the gun was used for can shooting.So the media on the first day claiming it was a prop gun is false, meaning Baldwin in all likelihood new it was a full functioning gun, and should have checked it, and should have NEVER aimed it towards anyone.

Surprise, surprise!
