looks like it was user error, as it turns out you can't kill the processes named "deadbeef" by issuing "killall deadbeef"okay

it seems to have knack for getting stuck in this state where it's perpetually stopped and clicking play or double clicking does jack shit so i have to hunt down the PID and kill it myself if xkill doesn't put it in a state where i can restart the application

it seems to have knack for getting stuck in this state where it's perpetually stopped and clicking play or double clicking does jack shit and it ignores any attempt at closing the program normally so i have to hunt down the PID and kill it myself if xkill doesn't put it in a state where i can restart the application

i think it's just the last.fm scrobbling plugin that it doesn't want to play nice withoh wellwasn't working with dynamic sources anyways

scratch that, i've disabled "resume previous session on startup", which seemed to want to start autoplaying whatever i was listening to last and it seems to not be getting stuck now (wonder if this is just a problem with internet radio sources, or the m3u plugin support I'm loading the stream from in the first place)

yep, it's because of dynamic sourcesi can double click on local files all day but clicking play on a URL source is like russian roulette if it's going to freeze deadbeef or not
