@tangleofsnakes Why not ask an old man at your workplace? Terrorise for an answer, let them shake like a leaf on a windy autumn day as you strike fear into their bodies.

@Starlit_Fire I'm sure the conversation would somehow end up on how Elon Musk is a genius and how he's revolutionizing the art of brushing teeth

@tangleofsnakes Oh god, tangle...yes...YES!!! (No this isn't an Herbal Essence commercial :awesome:)Going electric was the best decision I ever made for my oral health. My teeth have literally NEVER felt so clean. I noticed after the first brushing! Never going back! Now I recommend a round headed toothbrush, like Oral-B!!

@tangleofsnakes One of my daughters has always used electric brushes and has had more dental work done in 28 years, than I've had in 57 years. Although, I think some of that might be because of her addiction to whitening strips....

@tangleofsnakes Elon Musk shall be Elon Dust one day and then that particular evil will be defeated.

@Debbie_TriptychTwins @tangleofsnakes I doubt it has any connection to electric brush. Whitening strips maybe. There's probably some other factor.

@Mac_CZ @tangleofsnakes My other 2 daughters have no fillings and have great teeth, so I think the whitening strips messed up her gums tbh.

@Debbie_TriptychTwins Oof! Yes, whitening strips can damage teeth if used too often, because they actually sort of low-impact "dissolve" the surface area of the teeth so stains are able to loosen and come off. Tell her to not use them so much! @Mac_CZ @tangleofsnakes

@FemaleIsNotAFeeling @Mac_CZ @tangleofsnakes Her dentist warned her several times. She had lovely teeth too.

@tangleofsnakes I saw a post on Tumblr from a dental hygienist that said that electric toothbrushes are best, they do a more thorough job than with manual brushing. Also she said to always start with the back of the teeth because we didn't pay enough attention and we were careless there, we were more careful with the front. Brush carefully your tongue, gums and inside cheeks for a good cleaning routine

@tangleofsnakes Honestly the little vibration/pseudo gyration that it offers isn't worth it. People feel like "Oh it's electric, that means it works". It's better to use a water pick to debride the gum line and use an appropriate paste. If you have staining habits (smoking, drinking coffee, not enough water) try a charcoal based paste to get rid of the funk.

@tangleofsnakes I love Sonicare! I'm on my second one after... 10 years? Get the real deal and don't get a knock-off. They're great, easy to use, easy to keep clean. The brush heads last about three months or so. I thought my original one was great, but the newer ones are even better! 10/10, would buy again and again!

@Debbie_TriptychTwins @tangleofsnakes It might be something she's eating. A friend of mine got a shitload of cavities from eating sour gummy worms. If you eat too many acidic foods/candy, you're going to have problems.
