@JonathanMBR Yes, African multi-linguism is a great wealth that is constantly undervalued...Also, why Xhosa ? I'm curious...It's a beautiful language from the songs I've heard in it, but it's quite far from Kenya ?

@JonathanMBR oddio😳By chance, numbers 3, 4 and 5 are regional languages in Kenya? Are they related or not? Also positively surprised by Italian being in the list :D

@JonathanMBR Hahaha ! That's great !Is this a common competence among people in Kenya? To speak or at least understand so many languages? Here in France people speak French and ... that's it ! Maybe some can speak a little bit of English (not the majority, far from it) but then that definitely is it ! It's really the most of language competence you'll be able to find. Speaking more than 2 languages is quite extraordinary. So sad 😞

@wim_v12e they are Bantus, they are similar apart from Kamba language, you can refer to them as dialects of one language( that dominant language is unknown) although our Kimeru language have different dialects, these languages have different vocabularies though and sentences structures are quite different.

@botaflo knowing just Kiswahili in Kenya, you're competent. All 42+ tribal languages people knows Kiswahili, they might not English all of them but they know Kiswahili, Kiswahili is the most important language in East and central Africa.

@wim_v12e is Flemish related to English, at what percentage? Is it like Kimeru and Kiswahili? Kiswahili is made up of 60% of Bantu languages.
