       As a person with fairly extensive cat petting experience, I would highly recommend petting an abyssinian if you get the chance. I'm not fussed about breeds overall - every cat is a good cat and deserves so many pets - but holy crap abyssinians are so SOFT. Every time I pet one I'm shocked by how soft they are.
