My Propaganda reading list. Things that made a big difference to me (all free on inet)1. [Propaganda: The Formation of Men's Attitudes, Jaques Ellul] The intro by Konrad Kellen 1965 (9 paragraphs, 5mins)2.[Public Opinion, Walter Lippmann 1921] a little long, but even just part 1 instructs why we have "news"3. #2, part 2"Public Opinion" states why men have to be separated/ prevented from sharing their lived experience.Rather, the must be given a common framework for forming "thoughts" that the oligarchy approves of.That's what "news" is. When you say, "fake news", you're being:1. Redundant. Just say "fake fake", or "news news", or better yet, "NEWS".2. Misleading. Makes people think this started in 2016. It's at least 100 yrs old./4.2

@jazzilla great list. I would possibly add Propaganda Technique in the World War by Harold Laswell. And to deep dive into philosophical concepts relating to the Ellul book (more specifically his Technological Society book) I would highly recommend Marshall Macluhan, Neil Postman and Harold Innis.

For me, way back in time (forbidden bookshelf), but his covid struggle was a completely new wrinkle.For COVID/2020, his interview around the 2020 election on Sunday Wire with Patrick henningsen was incredible, then his two hour reappearance a couple months later under the title, "battle for reality" really captured the time in which his story is so intertwined...

@jonginsf Btw, there's more about Giordano...In December 2021, he gave a pitch to Western governments at Stockholm, one that's publicly viewable (Celeste solum even covered it) 🤔It covers the basics for some of this stuff as a means of "national security"... IMO, he's clearly selling a protection racket. It also portends that some of his espoused capabilities may be entirely vaporware.
