       So I don’t always rant but like… Every weekend for the last like 6 months maybe more, power just gets cut off for like, no reason at all. It’s driving me insane, and it’s not like I can just “choose” a different power company, I have to deal with the fact they can’t get power to me, for a small time (sometimes 10-20 seconds, sometimes 15-20 minutes) for no reason, every week basically reliably, and I still have to pay them, on time, regardless of the fact the fail at their one job consistently every week… I can’t fail to pay them like that, but somehow it’s acceptable for them to just always do this. I get like, unexpected things happen but, every weekend?! It’s entirely frustrating, because I literally have no other option to keep power on, except insane solutions like backup generators and stuff, none of which are real solutions where I am at…But, if I was a second late on a payment they would just cut it off right? Like what the actual fuck?!

       @seven yep, it's a one way street. We are basically stuck with the situation. I would love to be on my own power but just not feasible right now. Sorry you are dealing with this :/

       @pyre35 Thankyou!I mean it's just one of those annoying things like, once you are stuck with one provider you are beholden to them when it's critical, which kinda sucks cause they know you have no choice but to pay them...It reminds me of the mafia... O_O

       @seven yep same with pretty much every utility, including internet and phones. Switching costs are too high or coverage doesn't overlap so we all just put up with shittiness...

       @pyre35 Yeah I mean mobiles is an entirely different thread rant lolz, but power seems like a thing that we shouldn't have to just, put up with I dunno.Mobiles are at least still a kind of luxury, one doesn't have to have them, even though most everyone does.Power seems in line with water in things everyone just kinda has to have to function...

       @seven yes, granted, especially if you are in a climate where you could die if power goes out. I'm for the mobiles are a luxury if a landline is still possible in your area lol
