       @jimmysong Wait, but altcoins are *worse* than Bitcoin? Some are, but f/i Monero supposedly solved the problem of traceable public transactions, which Bitcoin just... ignores, and I think both Monero and Ethereum have systems adjusted to prevent the disproportional benefit of coal burning coin miners in China. I don't know much about those coins because... well... blockchains are terrible. But with Bitcoin, I can't even get the blockchain needed to verify transactions. It's huge!
