i like how the timeline of fedi is a bit more like a giant chatroom and not really a microblogging feed.like tell me on what other network you will see people go like "hi chris" and then see chris respond and do chit chats and other stuff

@vib@mk.vibbe.xyz not in my experience. If I follow an account, I will only see that account and maybe some interaction with others, but global doesn't expand beyond that for me.

@AMoonRabbit@misskey.amoonrabbit.reisen yeah, that's an issue. if you are on a single user instance basically the Public TL will be the same as your Home TL.Relays try to fix that. But I haven't really seen a relay with a list to my liking

@vib@mk.vibbe.xyz no, and I've spent hours searching for relays only to find 1 for japanese instances, but nothing that includes the instances I've grown to know. Obviously mk.abstaur-ab-asbu- whatever won't be on it because it's a temporary-might-go-permanent misskey instance but hey.

@vib@mk.vibbe.xyz tbh it feels a bit more personal to use it like a big chatroom. The way people communicate on twatter or facebook gives me the idea I'm just reading a wall of ads and other impersonal nonsense.

@fristi@mk.toast.cafe :genau:posts on twitter or facebook generally tend to have a more formal feel to them. there is a bigger gap between the poster and the readers.fedi is like... friends talking (informally)
