@Arcana it's extremely complicatedcurved space time

@Mia @Arcana well the concept isn’t particularly hard to understand, the math has quite a few requirements (mostly rooted in differential geometry)

@Lucretia-Matt @Arcana okay valid, it's not actually that complicated, I just forgot the words for a sec

@Arcana @Lucretia-Matt well your "pulled" towards bigger objects because bigger objects curve spacetime

@Arcana @Mia it's one of the effects of curvature. Basically if you measure how "not straight" the geodesics from a point are, meaning the lines that things would go down if all they had was velocity and no forces acting on them, you get gravity.Worth nothing that anything which causes acceleration in a Euclidean reference frame is, by definition, a force, so gravity is still a force.

@Mia @Arcana note that the “normal” equations (both special relativity and classical stuff) follow from general relativity given a flat spacetime and low velocities. In general the “pulling” is because of a free object will follow the geodesic, and the geodesic is just the equivalent of a straight line in normal geometry, as in the shortest path between two points

@Mia what if it’s just molecules seeking to not be alone in the universe. could it then be categorized under desire

@handyperson hmmI like that description, "molecules simply don't like being alone"
