       Morning alphabet practice :) The top alphabet is Blackletter Textur, the bottom is one I'm trying to recreate/adapt from a digital font. I'm almost happy with it, there are some uppercase letters I want to tweak because the strokes don't translate well. #calligraphy

       @welshpixie ooh fancy. Is that something you get proficient enough in to just bang a sentence out without reference on the shapes?

       @swansinflight Yeah, I can do the Textur one now without checking :) And I can do the lowercase letters of the other one without checking. The letters get composed of segments that repeat depending on the shape of the letter, so O and Q use the same format for example, and K and R, I and J and L are very similar, all the letters with a stem have the same style stem (look at the stems in B, D, H). So once you've got those down you can kinda guess how a letter will be formed.
