i kinda want to write the makers of Nugatti, the Norwegian hazelnut spread that used to be as good as Nutella until they took away the palm oil, and tell them to put the palm oil back in, now that the Norwegian media isn’t looking…

Norway could pollute as much as it wants and use all the worst chemicals and it wouldn’t make a shred of difference since we’re so small

@thor Some chemicals are catalysts for other reactions without being used up. Norway would make a difference, just very slowly.

@math_man in an European or Scandinavian context, anything Norway, a country that has vast amount of oil resources, does, can send messages. “oh, so even an oil country…”

@math_man what we do hardly matters in terms of the physics, but it does matter in terms of setting an example. the Scandinavian countries, especially Norway, are often asked to do that. we are small, so there is less inertia, and we are well-run and not very corrupt. model countries in many respects.but i wish i didn’t, on the few occasions when i crave a chocolate hazelnut spread, hav to buy a Nestle product.
