       @Mia@disqordia.space intel does this on everything. you either get insane input lag (tearfree option, basically server-side compositing) or tearing, or slightly less insane lag and maybe tearing, but also instability and glitches (intel xorg ddx)even with wayland, intel has multiple frames of lag for some reason. the same is not true with AMD.

       @mia hmmI've never had tearing issues with intel, but then again it's been to many years with amd/nvidia (arm) to properly recallthe amd gpu I'm using rn however, seems to have a tearing issue

       @Mia@disqordia.space with intel it started some time after kernel mode setting got introduced iirc, but i’m not entirely sure. nvidia also got worse after G92, but i’ve never had any problems with nouveau, radeon or amdgpu (the latter provided that i’m using wayland or the amdgpu ddx driver; the modesetting one has many problems)
