       Side note: chasing down build dependencies for a big, complex KDE project is not fun when the project has not made a release in a long time, and KDE / Qt library naming conventions are not straightforward or obvious.

       @sean You might wanna take a look at the nixpkgs build file, it already has 2.9.71 packaged and clearly lists all build inputs.
