@AnimeTradCath This would entirely murder the concept of taking a weekend trip.

@DerSauerkraut I've had this kind of schedule setup before and it is horrendous. The standard 2 days off is objectively superior.

@AnimeTradCath Yeah you'd never have time to actually rest, work would be on your freaking mind all day or you'd be dealing with errands and chores.

@AnimeTradCath @DerSauerkraut the best part of Saturday is you have all day Sunday to recover/relax.

@Monsignor_DickFace @AnimeTradCath I have utilized the function of the weekend on numerous occasions. Would be damn near riot worthy to see it lost.

@bebe @AnimeTradCath Bebe wants maximum congregation time. I don't think I've ever been to a Wednesday service. Don't think I've ever seen a place holding one outside of Ash Wednesday.

@DerSauerkraut @AnimeTradCath There is the daily mass where I live, including the Wednesdays, but I cannot attend most days as it conflicts with my work schedule. Thank you friend.

@DerSauerkraut @AnimeTradCath The priest does take one day per week off. I am sure in parishes with many priests that they may have mass everyday. It is actually not an uncommon practice. Thank you friend.

@DerSauerkraut @AnimeTradCath Yes friend which species of the mass do you attend? Is it one of the eastern rites? Or the Novus Ordo? Or the latin mass? Thank you friend.

@bebe @AnimeTradCath oh um none. Have extended family that are catholic but closest I've ever been is a methodist church. Catholic churches in my area I only see having wednesday and sunday gatherings.

@bebe @AnimeTradCath More involved than I've ever sought to be. The few times I've ever been in a Catholic church, for weddings and funerals, the priests went out of their way to talk about and focus on the old temple and the old traditions of the jewish people. Its been very off putting.

@DerSauerkraut @AnimeTradCath Was this at the novus ordo parish or the traditional latin mass parish? The Virgin Mary has actually warned us that during our time there would be many scandalous priests who fail in their sacred duties. She later warned us that the work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church corrupting priests, bishops, and cardinals. So today there are many priests who follow the heretical belief of modernism, either due to their own evil intentions, or simply because they were not properly taught in the seminaries. This is one reason why I would encourage you to attend a traditional latin mass parish. Thank you friend.

@bebe @AnimeTradCath All the signs I see for catholic churches in my area just say Mass or say Latin Mass so not sure which. I think I was in one that advertised giving latin mass. The corrupt priests, twisting religion for personal gains, was something Jean Raspail wrote and described extensively the book Camp of the Saints he says he was feverishly inspired to write. Neat seeing the warning popping up from other places.

@bebe @AnimeTradCath That second image makes me think we will see genuine thermonuclear war break out as things collapse. That description exactly matches a nuclear bomb and its aftermath.

@DerSauerkraut @bebe @AnimeTradCath masstimes.org is a good place to start, be sure to double check schedules on parish websites though since the site doesn't get updated all the time

@DerSauerkraut @AnimeTradCath @bebe Something to watch out for is that many churches give both the Latin and the New Mass. Also, if you can find a non-Roman Rite church give it a try, they are usually not affected by the POZ, and they are just as Catholic as any other.

@Firstamongkittens @DerSauerkraut @bebe the FSSP is a good place to start since they solely perform the Tridentine Mass.

@AnimeTradCath @Firstamongkittens @DerSauerkraut Yes or the SSPX, despite their irregular status, does actually have the faculties to perform the mass and other sacraments. They tend to be more common than the FSSP in my experience. Thank you friend.
