I'm the sole provider for my wife, son and baby on the way. I am currently working in the best job I've ever had. Unfortunately my company is implementing a vaccine mandate. I will be refusing to take the shot and loosing my job because of itI am afraid of not being able to provide for my family. I'm saddened at the loss of a job I worked very hard to get. I am angry at this usurper we have in the white house. I will not comply.

@Butterpoptard I suggest you at least attempt to get an exemption. I'm sure you have a sincerely held religious belief against getting the vax.... for instance.

@Butterpoptard if you have skills you can sell for yourself, start stealing customers if they're going to fire you anyways.

@Simpadoo @thedonnerd @Butterpoptard i earn a bit below average for my degree, experience, and industry, but well above median for my locality. i could likely earn more as a plumber, but I'd be working harder and i like my current job.

@black6_ @thedonnerd @Butterpoptard I find electrical, mechanical and hardware engineers are usually writing their own ticket but in college, most people avoid those disciplines as they judge them to be too hard. College used to be a template where you start, not knowing where life would take you. Now, a kid is probably better off getting a trade, then learning the other things later. Colleges are grifts now and they only serve to brainwash youth into becoming marxist and give no real skills in te change. I mean, how can they when they deny the basic scientific facts like race, gender, geology, etc

@Simpadoo for the most part i agree, at least in the non-STEM (i fucking hate that term) departments where the kids generally want to learn something practical and the profs don't soapbox. @thedonnerd @Butterpoptard

@black6_ @Butterpoptard Thank you for your courage and steadfastness in the face of such lawless tyranny. If more people everywhere had your attitude, this would be over. Hope things work out for you in ways you never could have imagined.

@Butterpoptard fare enough. But I think I would still do the exemption while I start looking for a new company to work for. That way you can be more selective and have less sense of urgency. Plus, you could potentially punish the company with a law suit if they deny your religious exemption. There is no law that the companies are following to mandate the vax. Our president said that he was directing OSHA to do it... but as far as I know, OSHA has not done it. The companies are doing it "on their own". I agree with your sentiment of why would I want to keep helping this company make money if they have so little respect for my rights. But I would still want to leave on my terms, not theirs.
