       @projectmirai39 Incorrect. The reason minimalistic icons became mainstream was the increasing use in IoT, mobile devices, and embedded platforms.Flat and solid colours require barely any processing power, and certainly use less RAM.

       @projectmirai39 It's not an opinion. That's how technology works.Less colours = less resource usageLess pixels = less resource usageLess gradients = less resource usageThat's why embedded systems use CLI and not GUI. GUI takes too many resources.

       @inference @projectmirai39 I can make a image with is 1080 and all the pixels are a random color I'm sure even old phones wouldn't have a problem rendering that at all

       @nonetrix @projectmirai39 It's not about difficulty, it's about it being pointless.There is no reason to add animations or effects to any system, even $10,000 PCs. They are a waste of resources and don't do anything useful.Wow, they look good and waste 3 seconds of your time while you wait for them to smoothly transition. That's not getting work done.
