#Mastodon's default UI is not perfect. If it wanted to promote self care there would have been options to disable the notifications and infinite scroll.

@ashwinvis How would you avoid infinite scroll?I would really like a "You have already seen all the new stuff"-sign when I am scrolling through the home feed but when checking out federated or local how would you go about it? Maybe it would be cool to be able to disable the federated feed?

@fsanIn essence yes. I am talking about all timelines, federated or not.Pixelfed has a "You are all caught up" at the end.Fedilab loads at where you left off and loads a few most recent toots skipping everything in between. You scroll up.Mastodon web interface encourages you to scroll down to a bottomless pit. These are better implementations than replicating bad patterns from regular social media. All I am saying is that removing algorithmic timeline is not enough.
