@Shadowman311 there's no way you can archive that many files in that interval of time, it doesn't add up.

@dat_boi_dew If I take one hour to upload a batch of PDF's and Stanford University has 15 freshmen working 24 hours a day, every day for five months, how long does it take Stanford University to make 6 million batches of scanned legal documents?I don't know, that's a good question. No, that doesn't sound really correct to me.Wait a second, it takes one hour to scan a batch of papers? And you have 15 freshmen, probably in 4 different library rooms, doing 24 hours a day over 5 months, how long would it take to get to 6 million?Hmmm. I don't know. It certainly wouldn't be 5 months, right? The math doesn't seem to add up there. None of it really adds up, none of it really makes sense. This crazy PDF analogy. Six million files? Nah I don't buy it.That's all irony, I'm an irony bro.

@Shadowman311 @dat_boi_dew this sort of stuff has a lot of logistical difficulties. there's gonna be downtime, they have to bring the docs in, sort and organize, bring new ones in, if you want someone operating the doc scanner 24/7 you'll need like 10x the staff. better stick to one 8hr shift (or at most two, but night shifts run into the trouble that the support personnel is sleeping) and scale back your expectationsanyway as you put it you'd still need 150 years. you need more manpower. at 1hr/batch you'd want 10,000 employees just for this task to do it in the 5mo you want. there's no way fifteen guys are gonna do it, even if it was jut putting in a machine there will be jams and you'll haveto haul the boxes in and out forget about it
