Well #pmos it was a good run, i had #postmarketos with #xfce running on my #pinephone for probably two months without any (major) issues.Today i ran the "sudo apk upgrade" command after update, it seemed to freeze, then i popped out the battery.Flashing underscore of death...Honestly I was surprised at the performance and functionality of it and have been using it as a daily driver.Pinephone satisfies my need for a mobile linux environment that isn't android or apple, and pmos has exceeded my expectations.May try #arch or #debian with xfce once i get the keyboard and possibly a stylus, but even with xfce and scaling at 1x it's been manageable.Note that I am currently installing pmos and xfce on my pinephone with pmbootstrap... Fuck google, fuck apple, and give me my open source!

@ohellno I assume you're running edge? If you want a more stable environment, please consider running the stable branch.Interesting that someone is actually using #xfce as a daily driver on a phone, you're probably the first person to do so.For the flashing underscore, please join our Matrix room so we can figure out with you what is going on

@postmarketOS Thanks for the offer to help but I had some issues with pmbootstrap and i'm assuming it's because i changed the python version on my desktop (debian) and didn't have the time to troubleshoot that before i had to get to bed so i could take a working phone with me. I suppose I could have flashed something else to my sd card but I have tons of podcast episodes on my only one.I'm a very new python programmer, but with the info on the wiki I was able to modify the screen lock script and had it to where it would actually turn on and off the screen with the press of the button, and very soon I was going to figure out how to make it so i could hit the play/pause button on my headphones and make it play and pause (with the screen locked).I originally went with pmos because I had issues getting the lightdm-greeter working with mobian and got it once, then it wouldn't work again. So, i was trying to be able to switch from phosh to xfce but for whatever reason I was having issues and the only real way I found to switch between them was to edit the config via ssh. I'll give it all another go in the future, probably after I reinstall my os on my desktop. I didn't learn about containers to manage multiple python installations until i already changed a bunch of stuff. Oh well you live and you learn. Will join the matrix room now.
