@Jaime They went right for the eyes and the muzzle. Nasty things. She sure looks in pain, I'm sorry that happened to her.They come out of the pot of mums I'm keeping watered, also they are all in and about the grapes we couldn't pick this year. When we had a pear tree, they were multiplied by what seemed like many hundreds.

@Jaime Poor little thing. That sucks! I had a Shih Tzu in 2007 that got stung in his eye by a wasp. He was just a puppy. It blinded him. He got around good w/one eye. You’d never know he lost an eye watching him chase squirrels everyday. I gave him to my neighbor not long after that. I was in a head-on collision riding my motorcycle & wasnt able to take care of him. He just died about 2 weeks ago. My neighbor was balling her eyes out. She got so attached to him and treated him like a child.

@rarity @Jaime Thank you!Yep! My neighbor is about 80y/o. Maybe older. She’s all alone. The dog was her only companion. I felt so bad for her. Just a couple years prior to the Shih Tzu dying her Chihuahua was eaten by a coyote. She had a breakdown over that. I called the pound and they came out and trapped the coyotes.

@Jaime You’re welcome! ❤️Had only just seen your post.Our previous pooch, Arnie — a 12-lb poodle — got stung outside as a puppy. It was VERY upsetting. He became immediately lethargic. Emergency visit to the vet, shots, etc., etc. From then on, if he heard a bee buzzing outside, or even a fly, he’d freak. Hope she’s much better soon.

@rarity @Jaime That happened once to my oldie Boston Buddha. I quick dosed him with Benadryl and we sped off to the vet. The vet was CLOSED! I was freaking out, but the swelling was already going down because of the Benadryl. All was well.

@Jaime @rarity They are specially formulated to dry inside the ear canal. You are probably aware but it's not good to get water in there. I was taught by a trainer friend to use baby wipes to gently clean the area. For heavier gunk these drops are the answer.

@Jaime @Joycevor @rarity I'm very careful these days, Jaime. The problem with an epipen is that they're very expensive and they have an expiration date, hence the Benedryl and Albuterol inhaler. Oddly enough, my first kiwi experience was with a tropical fruit flavored schnapps (very low alcohol content) when I was 21. I had a drink called a "Sunburn" and had to go outside for some fresh air. Once I put 2 + 2 together, decades later, it all made sense but talk about STRANGE! 😳🤣

My dad, who passed in 1999, had a card in his wallet that noted he was diabetic & had info about his insulin.We have to be our own advocates.
