Today I feel I have no patience left for the anti-vax crowd. It’s not about you, it’s about everybody else you cross path with. I don’t give a rat’s ass whether you get COVID and get hospitalized. But news flash, biology 101 says it’s a transmissible disease. And people die. Wake up. All you have to do to save other people’s lives is line up and get a jab in your arm. Boohoo.

@steveroy I haven't been able to find a single bit of data on the safety or efficacy of the vaccine on people with multiple sclerosis. However I have found a ton of stuff that suggests B cell and T cell problems associated with the disease match what we see in cancer patients whom act as mutation vectors for the vaccine.Do you want me to go out and get a vaccine knowing that if I do catch covid, I'll probably be a perfect vessel for creating variants?Cuz I can absolutely do that.

Sure there is a time to be concerned about the government telling us what to do, but this is not it. Healthcare professionals are behind this. Because they care and because no society in history has ever been this lucky to have this amount of science looking out for us. They want to save lives. They even want _you_ to live, fancy that.

@steveroy I'm probably going to die from covid with or without the vaccine because of elevated ACE2 receptors + poor B cell differentiation.News flash! There's an entire research topic exploring this space because of how gut bacteria might be acting to boost production of antigens and aid in B & T Cell function.https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/19914/the-human-microbiome-and-its-role-in-vaccine-efficacy

@steveroy Josiah Zayner blocked be on twitter because I was talking about how gut microbiota and immune dysfunction might be drivers of vaccine efficacy. His DIY vaccine worked for him.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-10-10/home-made-covid-vaccine-appeared-to-work-but-questions-remainedSo did the the other 3 I was looking at back in march. But they didn't account for underlying immune function.

@steveroy"It is almost inexplicable why people, when they see the data in front of them, that they don't get vaccinated"https://cbsnews.com/news/covid-vaccines-fauci-data/And yet... when I read the LITERAL CDC's website:"There is not enough data at this time to determine whether immunocompromised people who received the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine also have an improved antibody response following an additional dose of the same vaccine."https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/immuno.htmlWhat should I do?

@steveroy I've technically been researching Coronavirus since before the pandemic because they use a strain of it to trigger Multiple Sclerosis in mouse models of the disease. And if I get sick from covid, all the symptoms of having a flair up are nearly identical to just standard symptoms I get.I would literally not be able to know if I was a carrier of a variant.I'd probably end up killing everyone in my family. Everyone is immune compromised.

I will literally eat shit if it means I can be more confident that the vaccines will enable my immune system will develop immunities.I'm waiting for the results of https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04824222 to see what happens.

@Moon @steveroy I don't know why he blocked me tbh.Might have been because I was talking about in sito production of hydrogen peroxide by mucosa resident gut bacteria in the strains we find missing among those with severe crohn's and IBS symptoms, and he misinterpreted me as saying to just drink h2o2 for covid.

@Moon @steveroy You figure someone who went and did a risky thing like clean out his entire microbiome and do an unauthorized FMT for IBS, and flaunts himself as a ex-nasa microbiologist would know a bit more about the role of hydrogen peroxide + mucosa in irritable bowel diseases.> "When pressed, he admits that he doesn't remember what his physician told him in college — he could have IBS or inflammatory bowel disease. @Moon @steveroy Anyway, if you're interested in literally making your own vaccine via old school innoculation methods, they sell a couple interesting PCR machines. https://www.the-odin.com/pocketpcr-machine/That one is fun because it's technically open source.https://hackaday.com/2020/01/26/put-the-power-of-pcr-in-your-pocket-with-this-open-source-thermal-cycler/

@Moon @steveroy I was looking at DIY Egg based vaccines. They're problematic because they contain an allergens like ovalbumin. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/prevent/egg-allergies.htmBut we've know that gut bacterially produced SCFAs like butyrate buttress against histamine responses to those proteins since the 1980s https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7448870/

@Moon @steveroy I'm literally figuring out how to reverse allergies using FMT, to be able to take a vaccine. 😅 Its fascinating.https://theconversation.com/peanut-allergy-may-start-in-the-gut-opening-up-new-ways-to-tackle-it-133295There have been some really cool findings on egg allergies too. https://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6436531/ https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/all.14795works on milk https://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6360042/ and seems very consistent https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/all.14625Matches allergen response in autism too. and I'm #actuallyautistic

@Moon @steveroy Its really funny that a 20 year old study on indole and it's role in butyrate production as it relates to autism. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12223079/ Ends up being cited in a piece exploring how butyrate produced by gut bacteria seem to be a major player in successful recovery among healthcare workers infected with covid. https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s12275-021-1206-5.pdfIt's almost like I'm onto something.

@Moon @steveroy I'm not a doctor. These are really bad ideas. I recommend waiting until studies exploring FMT transplants for covid come out and then going for something like finch therapeutics / open biome via a medical professional. If we're lucky it will coincide with the production of a 'universal' Covid vaccine that would give you more than antibodies for the easily mutate-able spike protein. https://www.the-scientist.com/news-opinion/the-quest-for-a-universal-coronavirus-vaccine-68934

@Moon @steveroy That being said, given the lack of data for immune compromised people, any doctor that says with certainty how this stuff works is probably also wrong.John Hopkins has been the leading edge for exploring the impact of immune compromised and covid response https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/vaccines/blog/immunocompromised-people-are-vulnerable-to-covid-19-we-owe-them-some-answers

@Moon @steveroyThis study came out this month. We're literally blind here. We don't even know if a 3rd dose will really work yet. I'm hopeful but... The science isn't done yet."We believe that these observations support the use of clinical trials to determine whether booster doses to prevent COVID-19 in transplant patients can be incorporated into clinical practice, as they have been for hepatitis B and influenza vaccination"https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/L21-0282

@Moon @steveroy And they're still only doing these studies on transplant patients. The ones targeting M.S. and Crohn's related immune suppressant drugs are even more alarming.> "Compared with nonusers, patients with CID treated with glucocorticoids and BCDT seem to have lower SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-induced antibody responses. These preliminary findings require confirmation in a larger study."https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M21-1757With commentary here: https://www.news-medical.net/news/20210830/COVID-19-vaccine-elicits-antibody-responses-in-nearly-9-out-of-10-people-taking-immunosuppressants.aspxThis literally makes me cry.

@Moon @steveroy So I could get a jab in my arm that probably wont work. and there a chance the naive B cell response to the vaccine would likely cause me to not be able to walk. And in the process I will actually be putting other people at more risk because of the potential of being a mutation vector. And I probably wont become immune anyway. And if that happens at the same time, the mood instabilities tied to M.S. means I'll probably kill myself. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.00504/full No thanks.

@Moon @steveroy I'm literally willing to eat dog shit over that.I'm still waiting on my fingers to heal from the last blood sample, so I can do a food sensitivity blood test. And after that I have to find a thermometer that is easy to use.Given that I can't stand for more than 30 minutes most days, it's been slow going. But I will do it. I can't wait for science and medicine to do this. We've had over 21 months and we only just now started FMT trials.I can't wait another year.
