       @ceejbot I've been playing this other ARPG dungeon crawler that's all bright colours and rainbow sparkles with the spell effects, then going into D2 resurrected and it's just dark and grim as heck in comparison XD I mean it was always dark and grim but now the contrast is more apparent, heh

       I cannot tell you *why* it’s more fun than Diablo 3, except that it is. Maybe a lot of the fun is in the imbalance and the wonkiness and the way the whole system is still raw and not smoothed out into glassy-eyed perfection.

       It’s in early access, kinda, with beta play windows every other weekend. It’s not the first or even the fifth early-access OWSCBB game I’ve bought, but it’s a heck of a lot better than most of them.

       ICARUS (shoutcase) Survival is very good, even in its incomplete state. It’s also brutally difficult in solo mode and should probably be played co-op until they tune the darn thing. Unless you’re like me and enjoy the struggle.

       There was a sudden severe thunderstorm in-game and my wooden house caught fire and burned down completely. There’s a fire-whacking tool that I _used_ but I ran out of stamina almost immediately so oh well.

       So I rebuilt the house as the end-cap to a small cave, which can’t burn, and now I have shelter from storms but the damp air of the cave is constantly giving me pneumonia so obviously this is the most fun survival game ever A+ would punch trees in it again.
