       I wonder what age you have to be before gravity no longer affects you when mowing the lawn.I've always envied those old guys who can ride a ditch horizontally like a mountain goat without tipping over the mower, but I'm not sure I'll ever attain that skill.

       @alcade Smh yes that is a sophisticated balance. I have a hard enough time avoiding hitting the fence with the mower’s wheels when there’s a slope towards the fence. That sounds like ballet compared to what I attempt. Tomorrow’s task is attempting to light fix a push mower engine. A boomer marketed “self propelled” mower, mind you. Used, aka heavier push mower with no self propel. My gut was scrap and replace it with a lighter mower, but my mother is from the country and would prefer to repair it. So here we are. Worse case scenario I learn something from youtube about how to maintain my next lawnmower engine.

       @alcade no spark. won’t start. spark plug doesn’t look fried, but could certainly be replaced. Maybe it’s the coil.

       @alcade It’s not terribly old 2000s I’d guess. It’s just too goddamn heavy and I hate it. It’s definitely not ideal for our less than one acre yard that’s like half bumps and roots. But it’s also easier to just fix now for the next 2 months we’ll need it for before winter.

       @alcade Yeah tbh it’s more of a sense of shame/guilt in asking this neighbor or that who definitely would know what to do. Like, I’ve otherwise kept to myself all these decades, but now all of a sudden I need a favor? Suburbs can be pretty gay.
