What temperature do you keep your home during the day in the summer?

@0PT41N I'm quite aware. I live in the Midwest and recently it's been 90F/32C almost every day for months, with a typical humidity around 60%.

@urusan I said "20 or less", but honestly it's more like 27, because I live in London and don't have AC. 17-19 is my preferred temp.

@urusan I'm not paying the bill to cool the house below 83 degrees lolHere in central California it is regularly over 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer. The temperature has only just started to cool off. Hasn't been over 100 for a week and hopefully this trend continues. I've come to think of a high of 97 as a "cooler" summer day

I'm a little surprised how many people really like it hot. What's a popular temperature at or above 23C/73F?

@jiminycricket @urusan I don't know how you all live with that humidity. So hard to breathe and the heat. You cam notice the difference as soon as you leave the bay area.

@urusan damn. The humidity is what fucks many people during the summer time. Its what amplifies the heat and restricts people from breathing properly like if they have asma :blobfoxsweating:

@urusan I think the numbers are a bit too low. For me, 25C is the limit of an "ok" temperature. And I prefer winter all the way to be honest.

@urusan I don’t think it’s so much ‘like it warm’ as people like to use the least cooling that they can tolerate.(At least that’s how I do it. I PREFER it cooler, but since I’m most driven to knocking down the humidity, a lot of days, I dial the temperature up as much as i can and still not have the air feel unpleasantly moist.)

@urusan I don't have / wish to use an AC (I don't mind hot), so whatever's outside is also inside, I think it have been up to 30-32 this summer.

@urusan the top end on this is surprisingly low. Usually set the thermostat to 62F in winter and 78F in summer. Can blanket up or fan up as appropriate.
