@redeagle that's valid, and i do like vivaldi and would happily pay for it if they charged. But. It's moving one more step away from being open source and community driven, which is sad and concerning. Also ties in to the discussion about whether proprietary software belongs in linux distros. Another concern of mine is that the search engine's association with all those tech execs is highly suspicious to me, even if they're pledging to be "good".

@funkyduck @redeagle As I know Vivaldi has never been open source. Why make you think it would become open source? It is like waiting for Microsoft Office become open source, I don't think it's impossible but it's difficult.
