Just my take, but I think this deal was already agreed under Trump. Note - Canada and New Zealand have been relegated in the 5 Eyes arrangement.It's taken the NZ PM Ardern, a pro-Beijing socialist, by total surprise. I think NZ is OUT.But why would Biden agree? I suspect that he has no choice. PM Morrison is a huge Trump fan.Trump gave him a State Dinner. Probably associated with this deal.Biden, of course, insulted the Australian PM yesterday.
