Moving forward, deputies must have 'probable cause' to believe a person in the fleeing vehicle has committed a specific violent crime. This is a very high standard and nearly impossible to meet."So now they are simply going to allow criminals to go free. That’s ridiculous!

       @MarcusJ65 @BlkLdyPatriot I’m a police officer and an Evoc instructor.  Unfortunately, departments nationwide are revising pursuit policies because they are so high liability.  The courts aren’t standing behind officers and departments either.

       @murphyt43 @BlkLdyPatriot Maybe I’m wrong but the way I think about those types of incidents makes me believe that anyone who is willing to run from the law must have already committed a pretty serious crime OR they have a warrant  out for their arrest and they know they’re about to be locked back up. Innocent ppl don’t run from the law over minor traffic violations. Stay safe out there!

       @murphyt43 @BlkLdyPatriot I ahould have said innocent ppl shouldn’t run from the law. BUT - we are living in perilous times in a world full of morons. Who in their right mind would run from the police? Thoughts like that never even cross my mind. I guess that’s why I think anyone who’s willing to run from police must be considered dangerous.
