Sad day, pla.social just stopped resolving in the afternoon. The server's been down for a while.If your instance is old enough, you can see @pla. Hit by a car while riding his bike around South Carolina.It was surreal seeing a normal-looking boomer talking to anime-girl-avatars about ffmpeg and updating Pleroma and trying out Misskey. @p @pla @pla That is the proper way to eat such a cracker, indeed.My father had a friend who got hit by a pickup truck on the road as he was going in his bike to visit his son. Turns out the guy in the truck was on his cellphone and got distracted. Somehow knowing that didn't make things easier. :pepegun: Anyway, :pressf: for this guy. Sounds like he was a rare one.

@p I still remember how shocked I was when I first found out. My instinctive reaction was to assume I was being trolled until I confirmed myself. It really is a loss not having @pla around. He was always such a positive presence.

@p biking in charleston is so dangerous and it makes me upset :( if you don't live downtown you're guaranteed to get hit at some point....my best friend has gotten hit a couple times, shoulder dislocated once
