Told a board of directors today that I would no longer teach using politically contaminated indoctrination curriculum. At any price.They laughed. @EarlThePearls It will be as hard finding (or even creating) superior curriculum as it would be for an average conservative to be funnier than a woke comedian.Lots of exciting, apolitical material out there. The woke left was constrained to regurgitating variations on eike themes. No less than 12 lessons in one book attacked climate change from every ridiculous they could think of. EVERYTHING they write is snooze material for the younger students who couldn't care less.

@StevenDouglas I see a lot of homeschooling material in my scouting. A lot of that tends to be infused with a particular religious pov, which can be as bad as too much sjw wokism.Example is all of the ones that try to fit the physical world into the Biblical time frame saying everything is no older than 4000 years +/-

@StevenDouglas @EarlThePearls We home schooled our kids. We used a curriculum out of a Christian school in Florida. It was complete and included the required testing and all the instructions and answers in the teacher books. It was designed for missionary families. Subjects were based on the truth it included civics, history and real mathematics. They still remember much of what they learned.

@EarlThePearls I used Abeka for math while homeschooling. It was very comprehensive and thorough. When considering the curriculum, I learned that the levels are what public schools used to be - meaning Abekas 6th grade math was public schools 7th. About one month into my sons online pre-Algebra class, the teacher finally asked my son if he had memorized all the fraction/percentage/decimal conversions because he answered so quickly. Yes.
