Just a curious question, if by any chance I were to make a browser engine like Gecko or anything, which licenses should I pick?I want people to develop on it if they want.

@werwolf One too restrictive, two It would have issues with someone adding modules or anything. I have hard of some growing pains of people adding propietary modules due to GPLv3. So no not that

@XxAlexXx software extremist? I believe in software freedom. That's it.I think that the GPL is the one that will be benefit the most the users, since it'll avoid proprietary browsers full of spyware, eg Opera.Anyway, the MPL is kinda midway between the MIT license and the GPL

@werwolf Ok these are what I am lookingI don't want to get sued (obv)I want people to fork or develop on it if I were to abandon itI want there to be modules and the license should allow these modulesI want the software to always be freeI don't want the people using this software be reluctant due to the licnse saying it should be open sourceAnd I want the license to be compatible will almost all stores on all platformz

@XxAlexXx it seems that you're describing the LGPL. It assure that it will remain free but it's less restrictive than the GPL

@werwolfI have bo clues about licenses, but if possible i prefer a gpl, but mabye look in too apache licens or bsd 3 clause or whatever it was called@XxAlexXx
