@verretor a few of us tried telling podcasters about this topic. Specifically the rule-making that was quietly announced for the US regarding Real ID. Screen cap 1 is press release from TSA. Screen cap 2 shows public key infrastructure. Of course once they have Real ID mobile itâs easy to tack on anything else. @verretor it very well could be once mobile Real ID is made. It would be very easy to implement and wouldnât require passing any new law. A small set of regulatory rules could do it. Theyâve slacked off on Real ID mobile for a decade+. So to see it now moving forward should be concerning.

@verretor I wasnât aware of public health related emergency laws passed after 9/11. But thatâs because itâs not my forte at all. But yeah, a lot of freedom is always lost under âemergenciesâ. For the US, Real ID is already passed. Itâs a thing that just isnât fully implemented. So moving forward it would be much easier to add parameters since it wonât require any action from Congress.
