@JonathanMBRUgali is somewhat similar to Tyrolian polenta, if wikipedia tells right. Sukuma wiki seems to be similar to Saxon Groenkool. I'd like to try it, to taste the differences.

@indonische Ugali recipe 1. Maize flour 2. Water 3. You can add salt, cooking oil or milk to a boiling water, in most cases it is cooked with just boiling water for 15 minutes and adding maize flour for leave it to boil for 10 minutes or so and then mixing with a โ€œMwikoโ€ I don't know English name of Mwiko. Kales or Sukuma wiki is the most commonly used vegetable to serve with Ugali or cabbages.

@JonathanMBRAt the North Sea coastlines, and area south of it, they make kinda parties from kales. "Sukuma wiki safari". It's often combined with a local sport, "BoรŸeln". The party is divided into two teams, who have a wooden ball, which is thrown (and rolled) along the road. The team, that needs less throwings, wins.Other kale safaris go on with singing, and having liquor at certain points. The proviant is carried in small carts. You might find unofficial warning signs by the roadside
