@Tante_NeelIn your artist's mind it could be. 😁 That is a silhouette of the lower peninsula of the state of Michigan. It was only a test post from my pixelfed account.

@bufordk πŸ˜‚ after my reply I looked at your bio to see if I could figure out what I was looking at. I knew it was a silhouette of either a country or a state. But didn't recognize it. Read you're in Michigan and still had to look that shape up πŸ˜‚ I know most European countries shapes and maybe 2 us states. πŸ™„

@Tante_NeelWe Michiganders are keen to pull out our hand to show people where we live. Unless you live in the upper peninsula then you're on your own 🀣

@SirDaddyO πŸ˜‚ We were taught it looks like (the upper part of) a lion. Leo Belgica is a drawing of the Netherlands and Belgium together depicting the whole lion. @bufordk

@Tante_Neel @bufordk Wow - Leo Belgica has a great imagination! But I'm not really a good judge - I can never figure out star constellations either - except for the Big Dipper. Here in the states, Alabama (my home state) looks like someone sitting on Florida with her legs hanging off, Oklahoma is a pot, Louisiana is a boot, Massachusetts is a hook . . . we didn't really go for any noble shapes. . .

@SirDaddyO I watch clouds and constellations often. I always check for Beetlejuice (Betelgeuse) the big and small Dipper (which we call big and small bear) Orion and Casiopea when the skies are clear. Clouds are always fun to watch (and photograph) when they have funny shapes. I recently took a photo of this drumstick πŸ— with chem trail cloud @bufordk

@bufordk You're welcome. I love maps too. I have a whole collection of country and city maps that I picked up on travels. I had plans to paper my bedroom wall with them. Still on the to-do list. I also like going on Google earth and look around. With the risk of sounding weird... During lockdown I did Google earth travels. Went to San Antonio and did the river walk there. Went geocaching in Spain and the UK etc. πŸ˜‚@SirDaddyO

@bufordk 😍 Very pretty. I love the blue color they used. My city is not on that map yet. It was still water back then. Never got used to idea that I am older than the first house that was build here πŸ˜‚ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almere@SirMathieu @SirDaddyO

@bufordk @Tante_Neel @SirMathieu Honestly - how on earth did the UP become a part of Michigan? On would've thought the massive bodies of water were an obvious natural boundary. If Corona-insanity subsides by next summer (big if) I may be taking the kids for a vacay on lake Michigan. However, since we'll be unvaccinated (i.e. "unclean") not sure if we'll be allowed to cross state lines.

@bufordk I remember seeing the map of new york for the first time in school and seeing all the straight lines. Like on the Michigan map (which I think are county lines) There's no straight lines here at all. Not even the streets of you'd look at a city map. All the provinces lines (on your map) are crinkly. @SirMathieu @SirDaddyO

@SirDaddyO Adam was able to flew out here unvaxxed I am sure you will be fine. They just throw a lot of obstacles your way that's all πŸ˜‰Don't count on Corona subsiding for the next few years. I think it takes twice as long to get people's heads straight(-ish) again. @bufordk @SirMathieu
