He told us to memorize the poem IF and whoever he picked one unexpected night that could recite it first word for word would get a crisp $100 bill. This went on a only a few times over a few months, he would never let us when we asked, but about the third time my brother nailed it. Great memories. He also read Treasure Island to us. @ThomasWic I haven’t been here for months until a few minutes ago, and saw this. We are a country of bandwagons. (That is a claim that I pose as being a continuous Truth about Americans.) Did you temporarily become one of the bandwagons people are jumping on? It has a powerful, almost hypnotic effect, although sometimes it wears off quickly.
