       @SuricrasiaOnline static websites scale amazingly well, and are darn simple. Trying to make WordPress scale... now that's a whole different ballgame, but also that's usually self-inflicted.My point is: a lot of that complexity is completely unnecessary.

       @rysiek @SuricrasiaOnline It's sometimes useful for websites to not be static. A lot of websites have this "feature" but don't really need it, though...

       @not_on_pizza @SuricrasiaOnline agreed! There are cases where it *needs* to be very dynamic.A blog or news site is almost never such a case, though. And I speak from experience, having been responsible for hosting and managing a couple of dozen high-traffic sites.
