@allison i presume discoverability comes into play, even within the imageboard itself - plenty more tech-related boards back during fullchan's existence whereas cloverchan was forced to contend with a single boardincidentally i've had very good discussions in boards not dedicated to technology, there was this one thread where everyone discussed the nuances of all the big and small email providers

@allison which reminds me - the biggest draw of pleroma for me is that it organizes threads into flat chronological order like imageboards, but what has the misskey experience been like so far? admittedly there are some people i'd like to follow but they simply post too often and would swamp my home timeline, i presume the way threading is organized there helps mitigate this issue?

@cell@shitposter.club It doesn't do flat chronological, more of a thread subthread whatever thing that's kind of hard to explain. The ergonomics of it are really nice tho and aside from one or two complaints (mostly around user tagging on local instances), it's by far my preferred fediverse experience. And yeah, I can safely follow more people because they don't flood my home timeline anywhere near as much, also less of a constant dopamine drip so I feel less bad using it for extended periods than Pleroma
