@EarlThePearls thanks. My cc instructor told us not to. I don't have a trigger lock. It's an easy safety. I need to practice pulling it out and dropping the safety. I am assuming I will be carrying in a purse.

@simon95 It's a striker fired S&W M&P EZ. I will probably carry the 380. I practice with both regularly (it's FUN/exhilarating/empowering.) I also have a 9 mm same make and model. I find that while the smaller 380 has a bit more recoil, it fits beautifully in my hands and is very responsive. I have to work a little harder with the 9 mm.

@wziminer None of my handguns have external safeties. But they also lack external hammers, so there's very little danger of accidental discharges. And I use only revolvers. Yes, fewer rounds, but the M1911 had only seven rounds. It all depends on the ammunition used.

@wziminer If you carry with the safety on, practice practice practice taking the safety off. If you ever have to draw and fire it MUST be automatic. There are exceptions depending on the handgun and your level of experience.

@wziminer @MMA I carry a SW bodyguard w safety or a Glock 26. No safety on a Glock. If you carry Mexican style the MIC holster covers your trigger so it's safe. When you draw the cover pops off. You will need belt loops.I hate the safety, but if you train constantly you'll remember to flip it off before firing your weapon. I haven't been able to afford to go the range as much as I'd like and ammo is so scarce- so I'm sticking with my glock and MIC holster.https://youtu.be/LyDNbFY45IE

@wziminer @MMA Mexican carry is in the front of your pants. With the butt sticking up. I have a MIC holster which covers the trigger. It's attached to a cord which I thread through my belt loop so it dangles free.If I have to pull my weapon I do so, and the trigger guard pops off. It stays attached to the cord and my pants.I carry in front because I'm too busty for a side holster. I can't reach around these puppies. They call me Ghetto Barbie.I have the most control with Mexican.

@wziminer I shoot a lot and have been trained. Revolvers are the safest to carry but the trigger pull can be hard. You are also limited to 6-7 shots but that usually all you need. If you choose to go in this direction, there are revolvers that do not have the hammers exposed. A semiautomatic handguns come with a set of challenges that the user needs training to overcome such as shells not fully ejecting. And only carry a purse that is designed for conceal carry. Check the NRA.Practice!!!

@Eiualumni I have two. Both are Smith and Wesson M&P Shield EZs. One is a 380 and the other is a 9mm. Mr Wzi likes his 9mm Canic. I am planning on carrying the 380 b/c while the recoil is stronger than the 9mm, it's easy to compensate for, and it is smaller and is a little easier for me to shoot.
