       I've been trying out the Vivaldi browser for the day, and it sparks joy.Low resource usage? ✅ Good reader mode? ✅Not (mostly) google? ✅Built in pomodoro timer?? ✅Built in "periodic tab reloading" with a cute little scrollbar to show when the refresh will happen??? ✅ :badabing: Literally the only plugin I had to add was one for vim-style arrow keys.  Can't live without 'em.

       @mibzman sounds nice, but has it been open-sourced yet? I think this is/was the biggest point holding people back

       @kzimmermann I didn't know about this!  It doesn't look like anything has changed recently, they're still doing the "95% open, 5% proprietary" to "protect both the look and feel of Vivaldi".Personally I'm fine with that, but I see how others wouldn't be.https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/49314/vivaldi-browser-and-open-source/82?page=5

       @mibzman well, it looks it's better than the previous time I checked, though. Weird choice to keep the 5% proprietary. Wouldn't a registered trademark of sorts (like it's done in projects such as Ubuntu or Firefox) suffice in their case? Alternative we could take the 95% and fork it away, a-la IceWeasel or LibreWolf, I guess?
