I am on LineageOS 18.1 aka Android 11 now. The updater app does not support upgrades from one version of LineageOS to another. So I had fun with upgrading it manually with ADB sideloading. Everything is back and working again. What a fun.🥳 #LineageOS #Android

@datenteiler Cool! That's starving on my agenda for weeks now :mastoface_with_rolling_eyes: Did you have to recover any user data, like a SignalApp-Backup?

@kunde_x @datenteiler I did it recently. What a faff! I did manual backups of data that I wanted. So, Signal and a few other bits.

@gidorah @kunde_x I made backups but I didn't need them. ADB sideload worked great. The following commands did the job:adb rootadb reboot sideloadadb sideload /path/to/zipadb reboot

@datenteiler @kunde_x Did you just write over the top of the existing installation? I did a clean install.

@gidorah @kunde_x Nope, no clean install. Just sideloaded LineageOS. The partition with my personal data is still there and working.

@fatboy Not sure. TWRP is installed, but seems to have no active part, if using remote adb sideload, as far as I know.
