       I find it interesting that pedophile communities were not divided along contact stance lines until the term "anti-contact" was invented (iirc by VirPed?). Meanwhile if you look at the zoophile community, the vast majority are in favor of sex with animals. I wonder if someday the zoo community will go the way of the MAP community.

       @KayFaraday I think I've seen that before in a forum though where they differenciates between MAP and NOMAPs and usually MAPs weren't welcome.however I assume that the pro-c is just regarding common contact, right? and does not mean you support going into intimacies with children? if yes. then even the NOMAPs were partially pro-c, I believe

       @Murky drawing a hard line at all is dumb though. There's a wide variety of issues encompassed by the discourse, and most people's opinions cannot so easily be reduced down to a single "for" or "against", although it's often a good shorthand. Also there's a few inaccuracies with saying it's "MAP and NOMAP":Implies that offending MAPs are more common, which research disprovesConflates people's personal beliefs with their actions; even most pro-c MAPs are non-offending simply because the risk is so high, although I guess you'd be hard-pressed to find an offending anti-c MAP.

I want to understand that better and don't want to be a victim to misconceptions! but I do believe I can even confirm the fact that there are more non-offending than offending ones. at least from what I have observed :akko_shrug:
