When we were negotiating with the Taliban, they used a car bomb to kill two Americans.Then they dared Trump to do something about it.What he did was wipe out almost the entire Taliban leadership.So they surrendered.The Afghan National Army (ANA) can't fight the Taliban because there's no American air support.Therefore the Taliban rolled up the country.
