       @Zach777 The lack of centralized control is the biggest draw for me. The thing won't be bought and sold or "shareholder value" ized out of control. Likewise not under the thumb of any single national government.And I think this has a overall positive effect (IMO) on the culture due to the kind of users it attracts.

       @hund This has to be my favorite aspect of federated social media like Mastodon. You get your homebase where you know how the folks act but can also go oit into the wider world so to speak. Does wonders in making interactions more civil.
