       @LeoSammallahti so the US intelligence does want the group that they've been propping up in the region to come into power? They don't want a lot of things, but they are the reason things continue to be unstable. Every time there is a chance  for Afghan independence from US hegomony, th CIA stirs things up and the endless war must go on. If we go and read Osama bin Laden's declaration of war on the US, the CIA and US military have done exactly as bin Laden hoped and more.

       @LeoSammallahti it is like a bad movie where the main character keeps making bad lpdecisions while we are all like, "what are you doing? Just stop already." But this movie won't end and this movie has resulted in the death and displacement of literally millions of people.
