Need a cheap, basic computer for my kids. They have a few online lessons for homeschooling on the Abeka website and thats really all they need it for. Best suggestions? Also...I love the idea of linux but I have 0 time in my life to rig any of that up. 😊

@TheCM As per post here earlier:https://us.starlabs.systems/pages/lite-mk-iii#Don’t know if it’s available yet/in time for your needs.Adam says Linux Mint is pretty much plug and play.I haven’t used a pc since Mint 18.3 but it was ready for prime time even then.Would be great to start out young on open source.

@TheCM - You might want to give a look at the Raspberry Pie 4. Runs a small/simple Linux and is low cost. It's used for electronic development, but is also good for light weight operations that are done on regular desktop computers too. Cheers.

@TheCM I just bought a Raspberry Pi 400 for pi-hole and some other utility things to shove in a corner and forget about. Haven't dug into it yet, but since it is cheap ($100) and just needs a display maybe it would suffice for just web stuff.https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-400/

@TheCM It looks like Abeka supports chromebooks. Those are pretty reasonable price-wise. And kudos to you for not tossing your human resources into the Government Re-Education Centers.

@TheCMThese folks dispose of a lot of office computers from Dell et. I like the big case Dell machines. I think the air flow helps them last longer. One year warranty. The bundle deals come with a cheap new mouse and keyboard normally. This link is just too show what the big case looks like, with proper names being full sized tower et...You can use the menu to check clearance and deals. I've bought a bundle and some monitors from them. https://discountcomputerdepot.com/todays-top-deals-save-big/desktop-computer-deals/dell-optiplex-990-computer-tower-pc-quad-i7-3-4ghz-8gb-256gb-ssd-windows-10-pro/
